Mahomet Public Library to host App Authors Coding Club

Does your child want to learn how to code?

The Mahomet Public Library will offer a seven-week course between June 6 and July 26 for students entering fifth and sixth grades to learn basic coding skills.

Class will not meet on July 4.

Through the course, which was developed at the School of Information and Sciences at the University of Illinois, students will:

  • learn new coding concepts and definitions through non-digital activities.
  • practice the concepts online with basic coding.
  • and apply the concepts to the app they are designing.

By the end of the camp, students will create their own app to showcase on the last day.

Space is limited and students must register in advance. Click here to register for App Authors Coding Club.
