Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf finished 13th in the 16-school Champaign Central Invitational on Friday at the UI Golf Course, in Savoy.

M-S’ team composite was 369. Meet champion Edwardsville finished with a 316 score.

The Bulldogs’ leader was Brandon Collins (90). Teammates shooting 92s were Jameson Drinkwalter and Grant Harvey.

Sam Mitchaner fired a 95. Other M-S competitors were Erick Christianson (102) and C.J. Shoaf (106).

M-S returns to action on Tuesday at home against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.

Volleyball

The Bulldogs (1-1) dropped a 25-16, 25-12 non-conference decision at home on Saturday to St. Joseph-Ogden.

M-S returns to action on Tuesday at Unity High School, in Tolono.

Girls’ golf

M-S ended ninth in the 14-school Brookhill Shootout on Friday in Rantoul.

The Bulldogs’ team composite was 416. Meet champion Bloomington Central Catholic totaled 314.

M-S returns to action on Wednesday at Monticello.
