Guide to Mahomet-Seymour Homecoming Week

The Mahomet-Seymour community will welcome their Bulldog football team home during the week of September 22.

Mahomet-Seymour Spirit Days are as follows:

Middletown Prairie Elementary

Monday, September 23rd – Hat Day
Tuesday, September 24th – Favorite Team Day
Wednesday, September 25th – Crazy Socks Day
(Homecoming Parade at 5:00 on Wednesday)
Thursday, September 26th – Dawg Walk Shirt Day
Friday, September 27th – Bulldog ORANGE and BLUE Day

Lincoln Trail Elementary

Wednesday

Festivities will kick-off Wednesday, September 25 with the Mahomet-Seymour Homecoming parade, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. Affected Village streets, including State, Division, Elm, Main and Franklin will be closed during the duration of the parade.

The community is then invited to Dutton Field at 7 p.m. to watch the Powderpuff football game.

Friday

The Mahomet-Seymour Education Foundation will then recognize the 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees on the track of Frank Dutton Field. Dani Bunch, Brett Melton, Ryan Berger, Bob Handlin will be recognized for their athletic achievements. Bunch will be in the Mahomet-Seymour Homecoming parade and the ceremony on Friday evening. Ryan Berger will be at the ceremony as well, but Brett Melton will be represented by his parents and the late Bob Handlin will be represented by his son Dirk and wife Sherry.

Kick-off for the homecoming game against Mt. Zion will take place at 7 p.m. The Marching Bulldogs will take the field with their show, “Balance of Power” at halftime.

The Mahomet-Seymour Booster Club will host the Harlem Wizards on September 29 to raise funds for marching band expenses as they travel to the Fiesta Bowl in December 2019.

Saturday

The Mahomet-Seymour Homecoming Dance, “Dreaming of Italy” will be held from 8-11pm on Saturday with the coronation at 9:30.
