Jordan Davis and Jordan Feliz to perform at Mahomet Music Festival

County music artist Jordan Davis and Christian music artist Jordan Feliz will headline the 2020 Mahomet Music Festival scheduled to take place August 28 and 29.

Friday night’s lineup includes Hairbanger’s Ball and Champaign Freight.

Davis, who has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Billboard, Rolling Stone, CMT, Pandora, Shazam, Amazon Music, Sounds Like Nashville, The Tennessean, SiriusXM and Whiskey Riff,  will take the stage on August 29. The time is still to be determined.

Davis’ debut album Home State has accumulated over 800 million worldwide streams and features his current Top 25 single “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot” as well as two recent back-to-back No.1 Platinum-Certified hits “Singles You Up” and “Take It From Me.”

Davis just won Best New Country Artist at the iHeart Radio Music Awards and was recently nominated for ACM New Male Artist of the Year. He was also named Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2018 as well as Country Aircheck/Mediabase’s Most Heard New Artist of 2018.

The singer/songwriter has previously toured with the likes of Rascal Flatts, Jake Owen, Kip Moore as well as Brett Young and is currently on the road with Old Dominion as part of the “Make It Sweet” Tour in Europe hitting cities such as London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Stockholm.

Mahomet-Seymour alumni Onoleigh Pommier and the Devin Clemons Band are also scheduled to perform Saturday evening.

The Saturday afternoon headline has been reserved for a nationally recognized Christian band since the festival’s inception.

From working the valet parking booth to performing before thousands of fans, the last few years of Feliz’s life have been unpredictable, to say the least.

After moving from the West Coast to Nashville in 2012, Feliz eventually earned a record deal with Centricity Music in 2014. Since the debut of his single “The River” in 2015, Feliz has established himself as one of the Contemporary Christian Music genre’s most dynamic and engaging performers. “River” went on to spend 10 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s NCA Chart, along with winning the ASCAP Christian Music Song of the Year Award and becoming certified Gold by the RIAA (500,000 units sold).

After his first album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart, Feliz went on to win New Artist of the Year at the 2016 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. His sophomore album _FUTURE_ hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart and produced Top 5 radio hit “Witness.”

The festival will kick off Friday with Chicago’s 80’s cover band Hairbanger’s Ball.

Known as “Best Rock Band” in Chicago by their throngs of adoring fans Hairbanger’s Ball brings to life the music of iconic bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, and Poison, among others.

Joining the 80’s hairband on opening night, Mahomet native Richard “Goose” Geese and Ashley Ireland take the stage with Matt Stewart, Jamie Ryan, and Brian Dalbey to make up Champaign Freight
