Mahomet-Seymour Swimming opens season at Centennial

Senior Olivia Ross secured top four finishes in three individual events on Monday (Sept. 14) as M-S opened its girls’ swimming and diving season with a 109-31 loss at Centennial.

Ross was third in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races and added a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Two teammates were double placers.

Natalie Heaton was third in the 200-yard freestyle and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. Anna Lagacy was third in the 100-yard breaststroke and fourth in the 200-yard individual medley.

Diver Elise Hertling finished third. Placing fourth were Bulldogs Kiera McCoy (100-yard butterfly) and Taylor Easter (500-yard freestyle).

M-S returns to action Thursday (Sept. 24) at Lincoln in a meet that also includes Charleston.
