Mahomet-Seymour won for the sixth time in its last eight games on Thursday, edging Bloomington Central Catholic 44-40 in a non-conference girls’ basketball game in Mahomet.
Sophomore Nichole Taylor put together her team-best seventh double-double of the season. She scored 17 points and pulled down 16 rebounds.
Taylor was 11 for 15 from the free throw line.
Another sophomore, Cayla Koerner, tallied 12 points to go with a team-high six steals.
Ashley Wheeler corralled seven rebounds and Savannah Orgeron handled five rebounds. Durbin Thomas had two assists.
M-S (14-10) returns to action on Tuesday at St. Thomas More.
