Candidates file for open seats on Mahomet-Seymour School Board

Four candidates, Laura Lang, Max McComb, Sunny McMurry and Rebecca Richardson have filed as candidates for two in-township seats in the Mahomet-Seymour School Board consolidated election that will be held on April 6, 2021.

Justin Lamb and Patrick Mackay have filed as out-of-township candidates for the consolidated election. There is one seat available in this district.

McComb is seeking re-election. He currently serves as board president.

Lori Larson, an in-township representative, and Merle Giles, an out-of-township representative have not sought re-election.

  1. So where is, are, the positions of these new candidates? Who are they? What do they do for a living, what is their platform? I mean you told us there is an elections and these are the folks running and then absolutely NOTHING about them. HELLO! It’s been weeks.

    1. Agreed. I am new to the area and there is NO information on these candidates anywhere and where they stand on various issues. Now more than ever, we must make sure of what these decision makers believe as to education and the general school environment. Too many jurisdictions have let those who’s values don’t represent the community be elected to our school boards.
